Midgal Hamea (Century Tower) was built in the 1980’s as aa hotel, in the corner of Arlozorov and Iben Gvirol streets, a meeting point between the old city, and it’s ever-renewing facet. Its underground part was used as a shopping center, adjacent to office spaces. The building was constructed in compliance with European hospitality standards, and its location in the last western line of the city center rendered it rare since that time. The buildings design utilized the space to its maximal potential, and offered construction quality never see before in Tel Aviv center.When it was converted to an office building, it retained the most important quality of a good hotel: light.
The hotel rooms, all fitted with windows, made it unique also in its new capacity. Each office has a window, and the sea-view encompasses 3 of the building’s 4 facets.
The relatively small-scale floors generate a relatively large net space, a design that would lead to about 20 percent loss of the rented area in contemporary buildings.
The location is excellent from the transportation perspective, and includes two light train lines, as well as a lively urban center and and luxurious and growing residential complex. All while the city surrounding it keeps moving forward and anchoring its location at the heart of the bustle. Above all else, the simplest feature remains – the horizon. And the horizon, is as always, open. Also to the opportunities emerging from the offices that are directed towards it.
